본인이 하고자 하는 영어 목표를 꼭 설정하고

매일매일 내가 할 양을 계획을 짜서 체크하면

조금 더 꾸준히 할 수 있을 거 같네요!!!

[Scene: Monica and Rachel's, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, and Monica are watching Three's Company.]

Chandler: Oh, I think this is the episode of Three's Company where there's some kind of misunderstanding.

            음, 내 생각에 Three's Company(미국시트콤) 이번화는 오해가 생기는 이야기일 거 같애.

Phoebe:...Then I've already seen this one! (Turns off the TV.)

           ...그러면 난 벌써 다 봤네! (TV 꺼버림)

Monica: (taking a drink from Joey) Are you through with that?

             (조이한테 음료를 빼앗으며) 너 다 마셨어?

Joey: Yeah, sorry, the swallowing slowed me down.

         아, 미안,  마시느라 시간이 걸렸어.

Monica: Whose little ball of paper is this?!

             종이뭉치 놓은 거 누구 꺼야?!

Chandler: Oh, uh, that would be mine. See, I wrote a note to myself, and then I realised I didn't need the note, so I balled it up and... (sees that Monica is glaring at him) ...now I wish I was dead.

             오, 어, 그거 내꺼야. 나는 나에게 노트를 썼어, 근데 그게 나에게 별로 필요 없는 거 같아서, 종이 뭉치를 만들었어서 .....        (모니카가 챈들러를 세게 쳐다보고 있다)... 지금 나는 죽고 싶은 기분이네. 

(Monica starts to fluff a pillow.)

 (모니카가 베개를 턴다)

Phoebe: She already fluffed that pillow... Monica, you know, you already fluffed that- (Monica glares at her.) -but, it's fine!

           모니카는 벌써 저 베개를 털었어...  모니카, 너 벌써 그거 털었어 - (모니카가 피비 세게 쳐다본다) - 하지만, 괜찮아!

Monica: Look , I'm sorry, guys, I just don't wanna give them any more ammunition than they already have.

           얘들아, 미안해, 나는 나의 부모님에게 더이상 나를 괴롭힐 약점이나 잔소리꺼리를 주고 싶지 않아.

Chandler: Yes, and we all know how cruel a parent can be about the flatness of a child's pillow.

       그렇지, 우리 모두 아이들의 베개를 평평하게 놓는 거에 대해서 부모님이 얼마나 잔인해지는 지 알지

          (엄청 비꼬아서 말하는 챈들러에요 ㅋㅋㅋ)

Joey: Would you relax? You do this everytime they come. The place looks great. You got a beautiful lasagna here. That looks good enough to -  avoid touching.

         진정해 모니카, 너 부모님 오실때 마다 이래. 집도 보기 좋고, 여기 멋진 라자냐도 만들었잖아. 

라자냐 정말 충분히  ---  만지면 안되지.

Phoebe: Monica- Hi! Um, Monica, you're scaring me. I mean, you're like, you're like all chaotic and twirly. And not-not in a good way.

모니카 - 안녕! 음, 모니카, 너 너무 무서워. 내 말은, 너 지금 혼란스럽고, 어지러워 보여. 좋은 쪽으로 말고

Joey: Yeah, calm down. You don't see Ross getting all chaotic and twirly every time they come.

         맞아, 진정해. 너는 로스가 부모님 오실때, 혼란스럽고, 어지러워 보인적이 없잖아.

Monica: That's because as far as my parents are concerned, Ross can do no wrong. Y'see, he's the Prince. Apparently they had some big ceremony before I was born.

          그것은 나의 부모님이 생각할때, 로스는 잘못하는 게 없다고 생각해. 너도 알잖아, 그는 왕자야. 분명히 부모님이 엄청난 세레머니를 해줬을 꺼야 내가 태어나기전에

Chandler: (looking out the window) Ew, ew, ew, ew ew ew ew ew!

              (창문 밖을 쳐다보면서)   으,으,으,으,으,으,으,으,으!

Monica: What?

            왜?

Chandler: Ugly Naked Guy got a Thighmaster!

             못생긴 벌거벚은 남자가 허벅지운동기구를 하고 있어!

   (여기서 재미난게, 티비에서 나온 여자가 Thighmaster라는 기구를 광고를 했었어요, 구글이미지에 밑에 이미지 말고도 더 나오는데 쫌 선정적이라고 생각할까봐 가장 무난한걸로 가져왔어요! 궁금하면 검색!)

 

 

All: Eeaagh!

      으~~!

(Rachel enters from her room.)

(레이첼이 본인의 방에서 나왔다)

Rachel: Has anybody seen my engagement ring?

          내 약혼반지 본 사람있어?

Phoebe: Yeah, it's beautiful.

             그거, 아주 이쁘더라.

Rachel: Oh God, oh God, oh God oh God oh God oh God.... (Starts to look under the couch cushions.)

            오 이런, 이런, 이런 이런 이런 이런 이런 이런.....(소파쿠션 밑을 보기 시작한다)

Phoebe: No, look, don't touch that!

           안돼, 건들지마 거기!

Rachel: Oh, like I wasn't dreading tomorrow enough, having to give it back to him... 'Hi Barry! Remember me? I'm the girl in the veil who stomped on your heart in front of your entire family!' Oh God and now I'm gonna have to return the ring, without the ring, which makes it so much harder...

          오, 나는 내일 다시 그에게 반지를 돌려주는것에 대해서 별로 두렵지 않았는데...  '안녕 배리! 나 기억나? 나는 너의 심장을 너의 모든 가족들 앞에서 짓밣은 약혼자야!' 오 이런, 근데 지금 나는 반지를 돌려줘야하네, 반지도 없이, 아 너무 힘들다....  

Monica: Easy Rach, we'll find it. (To all) Won't we!

            걱정마 레이첼, 우리가 찾아줄게. (모두에게) 그렇지?

Chandler and Joey: Oh! Yeah!

                        오! 맞아!

Monica: Okay, look. It's gonna be okay. You're gonna give it back to him. It'll all be over, and we'll eat a lot of ice cream

            걱정마. 다 잘 될거야. 너는 배리한테 반지를 잘 돌려줄거야. 이 일들은 다 잘 끝날 거고, 우리는 아이스크림 많이 먹을 꺼야

      (프렌즈에 자주 등장하는 장면으로, 시련이나 우울한 일들이 있을 때 주로 아이스크림을 먹어요. 3화에도 나와요 ㅎ)

Rachel: Okay, okay. It's a little pear-shaped diamond...

           좋아, 좋아. 약간 배모양의 다이아몬드야...

Monica: I'll tell you what. Any diamond ring we find, we'll run it by you.

             내가 말했잖아. 아무 다이아몬드반지 찾으면, 바로 너에게 알려줄게.

Joey: Alright, when'd'ya have it on last?

         그래, 마지막을 본게 언제야?

Phoebe: Doy! Probably right before she lost it!

            Doy!(바보야) 레이첼이 잃어버리기 직전이지!

Chandler: You don't get a lot of 'doy' these days...

              요즘엔 'Doy' 라는 말은 잘 안써...

Rachel: I know I had it this morning, and I know I had it when I was in the kitchen with...

           나 아침에만 해도 가지고 있었어, 그리고 나는 반지와 함께 주방에 있었는데...

Chandler: ...Dinah?

                Dinah?

                (이것도 kitchen with dinah 라는 노래가 있는데 그냥 말 장난이에요 챈들러...)

Rachel: (looks at the lasagne and realizes something) Ohhhhh, don't be mad...

          (라자냐를 보고 무언가를 깨달고) 오~~~~, 화내지마....

Monica: You didn't.

            설마 아니지.

Rachel: Oh, I am sorry...

           오, 정말 미안해...

Monica: I gave you one job! (Starts to examin the lasagne through the bottom of the glass pan.)

           겨우 일 하나줬는데! (라자냐의 바닥을 살펴보기 시작했다)

Rachel: Oh, but look how straight those noodles are!

           오, 그래도 봐봐 면들이 일자로 잘 뻗었잖아!

Chandler: Now, Monica, you know that's not how you look for an engagement ring in a lasagne...

             모니카, 너는 라자냐안에 있는 약혼반지 찾는 방법이 그렇게 보기만 하는게 아닌거 알지...

Monica: (puts down the lasagne) I just... can't do it.

             (라자냐를 내려 놓으면서) 나는... 차마 못하겠어.

Chandler: Boys? We're going in.

              얘들아? 우리가 나설 차례야.

 

 

(Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe start to pick through the lasagne as there's a knock on the door which Monica answers.)

(챈들러, 조이 그리고 피비가 라자냐에서 반지찾기를 시작한다. 누가 문을 두드리고 모니카가 열어주러 간다)

Ross: (standing outside the door).....Hi.

        (문 밖에서 서서) ....안녕

Monica: Wow. That is not a happy hi.

            이런. 별로 행복한 안녕이 아니네.

Ross: Carol's pregnant.

         캐롤이 임신했대.

Phoebe: (while everyone else is stunned) Ooh! I found it!

              (모두가 멈춰있는 상태에서) 오! 내가 찾았다!

Monica: W-w-wh-... wha-... w-w-w-...

             와-ㅅ-왓...머-... 머라...고...

Ross: Yeah. Do that for another two hours, you might be where I am right about now. (He enters.)

        맞아. 그렇게 두시간 더 있어봐, 너는 아마 지금 내가 느낀 기분을 느낄꺼야.(로스가 들어온다)

Chandler: Kinda puts that whole pillow thing in perspective, huh, Mon?

              베개 가지고 난리친 거 별일이 아니지, 응, 모니카?

             (in perspective 가 객관적으로, 이성적으로 라는 의미라서, 베개정리한 일보다 로스에게 훨씬 큰일이 났기 때문에 챈들러가 아까 니가 베개 가지고 민감하게 군건 아무것도 아니라는 말로 하는 말이에요) 

Rachel: Well now, how-how do you fit into this whole thing?

           음 그러면, 니가 거기서 어떤 역할을 하는 거야?

Ross: Well, Carol says she and Susan want me to be involved, but if I'm not comfortable with it, I don't have to be involved.. basically it's entirely up to me.

         음, 캐롤이 말하기를 본인과 수잔은 관여되길 원한대, 그런데 내가 만약 불편하면, 굳이 거기에 관여 되지 않아도 된대.. 완전히 나에게 달린 거지.

Phoebe: She is so great! I miss her.

           그녀 아주 멋진데! 나는 그녀가 그리워

Monica: What does she mean by 'involved'?

            그녀가 말하는 관여한단게 무슨 말이야?

Chandler: I mean presumably, the biggest part of your job is done.

              내 생각에 아마, 너의 가장 큰 역할은 끝난거 같은데.

Joey: And the most enjoyable.               Phoebe say something!

        그리고 대부분의 즐길거리도 말이야.           (모두가 쳐다보니) 피비 말좀해!

Ross: Anyway, they want me to go down to this- sonogram thing with them tomorrow.

        어쨋든, 내가 내일 같이 초음파검사하러 가는거를 원해.

Monica: Wow...

Ross: Remember back when life was simpler and she was just a lesbian.

       기억해보면, 그녀가 그냥 레x비언이었을때가 더 편했어.(지금은 임신한 레x비언)

Chandler: Oh, those were days.

            아, 옛날이여.

Rachel: So what are you gonna do?

           그래서 너는 어떻게 할 거야?

Ross: I have no idea. No matter what I do, though, I'm still gonna be a father.

         나도 잘 모르겠어. 내가 어떻게 하든지, 나는 아빠가 될거야.

(Joey starts to eat the rest of the lasagne and everyone turns and stares at him.)

 (조이가 남은 라자냐를 먹기 시작했고 모두가 쳐다본다.) 

Joey: .....Well, this is still ruined, right?

        ....이거, 벌써 손 댄거 잖아, 그렇지?
