프렌즈 2화 시작할게요!

 

[Scene Central Perk, everyone's there.]

Monica: What you guys don't understand is, for us, kissing is as important as any part of it.

       너희 남자들이 이해 못하는 것이 있는데, 우리(여자들에게는), 키스는 다른 스킨십들 만큼 중요해

Joey: Yeah, right!.......Y'serious?

        그렇지, 맞아!..... 진짜로? 

Phoebe: Oh, yeah!

            당연하지!

Rachel: Everything you need to know is in that first kiss.

         니가 알아야 할 모든 것을 첫키스로 알 수 있어.

Monica: Absolutely.

             맞는말이야.

Chandler: Yeah, I think for us, kissing is pretty much like an opening act, y'know? I mean it's like the stand-up comedian you have to sit through before Pink Floyd comes out.

          음, 내 생각에 남자들은, 키스는 오프닝 공연같은 거라고 생각해, 메인가수인 Pink Floyd가 나오기 전에, 니가 꼭 앉아서 봐야하는 코미디언의 오프닝 공연 같이.

         (키스 -> 코미디언, 그것(?) -> Pink Floyd 공연  으로 비유했네요)

Ross: Yeah, and-and it's not that we don't like the comedian, it's that-that... that's not why we bought the ticket.

     맞아, 그리고 우리가 그 코미디언을 싫어하는 건 아니야, 하지만 우리가 티켓을 산 이유는 그게 아니지.

Chandler: You see, The problem is, though, after the concert's over, no matter how great the show was, you girls are always looking for the comedian again, y'know? I mean, we're in the car, we're fighting traffic... basically just trying to stay awake.

        문제는 말이야, 콘서트가 다 끝난후에, 그게 아주 좋았더라도, 여자들은 항상 코디미언을 다시 찾아, 우리는 차안에서, 교통체증과 싸우고 있는데....... 사실 우리는 깨어있으려고 엄청 노력해

 (제 느낌엔, 차안에 있고 교통체증, 깨어있으려고 노력하는 것은 아마 현자타임을 말하는 거 같애요)

Rachel: Yeah, well, word of advice: Bring back the comedian. Otherwise next time you're gonna find yourself sitting at home, listening to that album alone.

         흠, 그래, 조언하나 할게 : 코미디언을 다시 데려와. 그렇지 않으면 다음엔 너 혼자 집에서 음악듣고 있는 너 자신을 보게 될거야.

Joey: (pause)....Are we still talking about sex?

           ... 우리계속 그것 얘기하는 거 맞지?

Opening Credits

[Scene: Museum of Prehistoric History, Ross and a co-worker (Marsha) are setting up an exhibit which includes some mannequins of cave people.]

Ross: No, it's good, it is good, it's just that- mm- doesn't she seem a little angry?

        아니, 좋은데요, 음, 이게 쫌- 음- 그녀가 쫌 화나 보이지 않나요?

Marsha: Well, she has issues.

             아마, 문제를 가지고  있겠죠.

Ross: Does she?

          그래요?

Marsha: Gee's trying to live with "Mr.hey I'm evolving." He's out banging other women over the head with a club, while she sits at home trying to get the mastodon smell out of the carpet!

           그녀가 "미스터 바람둥이" 와 살고 있어서 그래요. 그는 클럽에서 다른 여자들과 어울리고 있어요, 반면에 그녀는 집에 앉아서, 카펫에 있는 매머드의 냄새를 빼고 있어요!

Ross: Marsha, these are cave people. Okay? They have issues like 'Gee, that glacier's getting kinda close.' See?

       말샤, 이 사람들은 동굴에서 지내는 사람들이에요. 알겠어요? 그들의 주요 이슈들은 'Gee, 빙하가 점점 가까워지고있어요.' 이정도에요

Marsha: Speaking of issues, isn't that your ex-wife?

            이슈라는 말이나와서 하는 말인데, 저 사람 너의 전 와이프 아니야?

(Carol, Ross's ex-wife, has entered behind them and is standing outstide the exhibit.)

Ross: (trying to ignore her) No. No.

         아니에요 아니에요.

Marsha: Yes, it is. Carol! Hi!

          맞아요 그녀에요. 캐롤! 안녕!

Ross: Okay, okay, yes, it is. (waves) How about I'll, uh, catch up with you in the Ice Age?

        그래요 맞아요, 휴, 우리 빙하시대파트에서 다시 만나는 게 어떨까요?

        (지금 있는 공간은 선사시대이고, 자리를 비켜달라고 말하는 것입니다. 다음 일해야하는 장소가 아마 빙하시대파트 인거 같네요) 

Marsha: Can I stay?

        여기 있어도 돼요?

Ross: That would be no.

        안되죠.

(Marsha extis and Ross waves Carol into the exhibit.)

Ross:Hi.

        안녕

Carol: So.

          안녕

Ross: You look great. I, uh... I hate that.

         너 좋아 보인다. 나는 그게 별로네.

Carol: Sorry. You look good too.

        미안. 너도 좋아 보여.

Ross: Ah, well, in here, anyone who... stands erect... So what's new? Still, uh...

         음 그래, 여기라면 누구든....  곧게 설 수 있는.... 그래서 무슨일이야? 아직도, 음...

     (영상을 보시면, 원시인 두명 사이에 본인이 서있어서, 그들에 비하면 당연히 좋아 보인다고 말하는 겁니다. 그리고 원시인들은 허리가 굽은 걸 볼 수 있어요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그래서 굳이 stands erect 를 쓴거 같애요)

Carol: A lesbian?

         레x비언이냐고?

Ross: Well... you never know. How's, um.. how's the family?

        음.... 넌 모를거야. 가족들은 어때?

  (여기서 you never know의 의미는 아직 캐롤이 레x비언이라는 사실을 믿지 못하는 로스의 마음이에요) 

Carol: Marty's still totally paranoid. Oh, and, uh-

        말티는 지금 완전히 멘탈 나갔어. 아 그리고,

Ross: Why- why are you here, Carol?

          왜 날 찾아왔어, 캐롤?

Carol: I'm pregnant.

        나 임신했어.

Ross: Pregnant?!

         임신?!
