그러면 프렌즈 시즌1 1화 Part 7 시작!!!

[Scene: Ross's Apartment; Ross is pacing while Joey and Chandler are working on some more furniture.]

Ross: I'm divorced!  I'm only 26 and I'm divorced!

        나는 이혼했어! 나는 겨우 26살인데 이혼했어!

Joey: Shut up!

        조용히 쫌 해!

Chandler: You must stop! (Chandler hits what he is working on with a hammer and it collapses.)

              너 제발 그만해!  (챈들러가 작업하던 걸 망치로 치고, 그것이 다 뿌셔졌다)

Ross: That only took me an hour.

        그거 내가 한시간동안 한거야.

Chandler: Ross, you gotta understand, between us we haven't had a relationship that has lasted longer than a Mento.   You, however have had the love of a woman for four years.   Four years of closeness and sharing at the end of which she ripped your heart out, and that is why we don't do it!  I don't think that was my point!

Mento를 의미하는 사탕이에요

   

           로스, 너는 이해 해야돼, 우리는 Mento 사탕을 먹는거보다 길게 연애를 해본 적이 없어.(요건 프렌즈에 자주 나오는 과장입니다)  하지만, 너는! 4년동안 한 여자와 연애를 했어. 4년 동안의 가까이 있고, 나누고, 했어. 끝에 가서 그녀가 너의 심장을 찢어놨지, 그리고 그게 바로 우리가 너처럼 안하는 이유야!  이게 내가 말하고자하는 요점은 아니야!

Ross: You know the scariest part is? What if there's only one woman for everybody, y'know? I mean what if you get one woman- and that's it? Unfortunately in my case, there was only one woman- for her...

       너 가장 무서운게 어떤건지 알아?  만약에 모든사람에게 단 한명의 여자만 있다면? 응? 내 말은 니가 한명의 여자만 만날 수 있다면 그리고 그게 끝이라면? 불행하게도 나같은 경우에는, 단 한명의 여자였지. 여자를 위한... (Carol이 레x비언이라서 여자를 위한 여자라고 표현했어요)

Joey: What are you talking about? 'One woman'? That's like saying there's only one flavor of ice cream for you. Lemme tell you something, Ross. There's lots of flavors out there. There's Rocky Road, and Cookie Dough, and Bing! Cherry Vanilla. You could get 'em with Jimmies, or nuts, or whipped cream! This is the best thing that ever happened to you! You got married, you were, like, what, eight? Welcome back to the world! Grab a spoon!

      너 지금 무슨말을 하는거야? '한 여자'?  이거는 마치, 너를 위한 아이스크림이 한종류 밖에 없다는 말과 같아. 내가 하는 말 잘 들어봐, 로스. 이 세상에는 아주 많은 맛들이 있어. 예를 들면 로키 로드, 쿠키도우, 빙 체리바닐라가 있어. 너는 아이스크림에다가 지미초콜릿, 견과류, 휘핑크림까지 올려서 먹을 수 있어! 이건 너에게 가장 좋은 일이야! 너 결혼 했어지, 근데 뭐 너 8살이야? 아니잖아? 이 세상으로 돌아온 걸 환영해! 숟가락을 잡아!(숟가락을 잡아라는 말은, 다시 여자를 만날 기회를 잡으라는 말이에요!)

Ross: I honestly don't know if I'm hungry or horny.

       솔직히 말해서 내가 배가 고픈건지 여자가 고픈건지 모르겟어.

Chandler: Then stay out of my freezer!

             내 냉장고에서 떨어져!

 

[Scene: A Restaurant, Monica and Paul are still eating.]

Paul: Ever since she walked out on me, I, uh...

       그녀가 나에게서 떠나간 후로, 나는, 음...

Monica: What?..... What, What, you wanna spell it out with noodles?

    응?.... 뭐가, 너 지금 면으로 글자를 표현하고 싶은거야?

   (폴이 면을 뒤적뒤적거리는걸 보고 말하는겁니다 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ)

Paul: No, it's, it's more of a fifth date kinda revelation.

       아니, 음 이거는 5번이상 데이트하고 나서 말할 수 있는 비밀이야.

Monica: Oh, so there is gonna be a fifth date?

            그 말은, 다섯번째 데이트가 있다는 말이야?

Paul: Isn't there?

        없는거야?

Monica: Yeah... yeah, I think there is. -What were you gonna say?

            좋아... 좋아, 다섯번재 데이트 있을거야. 무슨 말을 할려고 했어?

Paul: Well, ever-ev-... ever since she left me, um, I haven't been able to, uh, perform. (Monica takes a sip of her drink.) ...Sexually.

       음, 그게- 음.. 그녀가 나를 떠난 이후로, 음, 나는 해본 적이 없어.  ...성적인거.

Monica: (spitting out her drink in shock) Oh God, oh God, I am sorry... I am so sorry...

            오 이런, 오 마이갓, 미안해... 정말로 미안해...

Paul: It's okay...

         괜찮아요...

Monica: I know being spit on is probably not what you need right now. Um... how long?

      물 맞은 상태로 있는 것이 니가 지금 원한것이 아니였을텐데. 음... 얼마나 오랫동안 못했어?

Paul: Two years.

        2년 동안.

Monica: Wow! I'm-I'm-I'm glad you smashed her watch!

             와우! 니가 그녀의 손목시계를 뿌신거 정말 잘했어!

Paul: So you still think you, um... might want that fifth date?

        그래서 지금 너, 음.... 다섯번째 데이트 계속 원해?

Monica: (pause)...Yeah. Yeah, I do.

            ...응. 데이트하길 원해.

[Scene: Monica's Apartment, Rachel is watching Joanne Loves Chaci.]

Priest on TV: We are gathered here to join together Joanne Louise Cunningham and Charles, Chachi-Chachi-Chachi, Arcola in the bound of holy matrimony.

             우리는 조니루이스커닝햄과 찰스,차치-차치-차치 알콜라의 신성한 결혼을 함께 하기 위해 모였습니다

Rachel: Oh...see... but Joanne loved Chachi! That's the difference!

           오...봐봐... 조니는 차치를 사랑해! 그게 다른 점이야!

 

[Scene: Ross's Apartment, they're all sitting around and talking.]

Ross: (scornful) Grab a spoon. Do you know how long it's been since I've grabbed a spoon? Do the words 'Billy, don't be a hero' mean anything to you?

          숟가락을 집으라고. 내가 숟가락을 집은지 얼마나 오래된지 알고 있어? '빌리야, 영웅이 되지마'라는 말이 너에게 아무 의미없어? (Billy, don't be a hero 라는 노래가 저 당시에 20년이 지난 노래인데, 로스가 캐롤한테 데이트하자고 말한거가 몇년전인데, 로스한테는 데이트 신청하는게 그만큼 어렵다는 뜻을 이야기합니다)  

Joey: Great story!  But, I uh, I gotta go, I got a date with Andrea--Angela--Andrea...  Oh man, (looks to Chandler)

        멋진 이야기네! 음 근데 지금 나 가야돼, 나는 데이트가 있어 안드리아? 안젤라? 안드리아? 누구더라,

Chandler: Andrea's the screamer, Angela has cats.

           안드리아는 시끄러운 여자고, 안젤라는 고양이 키우는 여자야.

Joey: Right.  Thanks.  It's Jully.  I'm outta here. (Exits.)

        아하. 고마워. 줄리였어. 나 이제 간다.

Ross: Y'know, here's the thing. Even if I could get it together enough to- to ask a woman out,... who am I gonna ask? (He gazes out of the window.)

        음, 내 말은. 만약에 내가 충분히 괜찮아져서 여자에게 데이트를 신청한다면... 누구한테 해야할까?

[Cut to Rachel staring out of her window.]

 

안타깝네요 보면서.. 공부도 공부지만, 드라마 자체가 워낙에 명작이라서..
